The camp is located at 4700 ft. (1500 m) above sea level on the border of the wildlife preserve, which is home to 2000 sheep. Hunters can expect to see several rams during the trip. The hunt is not physically demanding, requiring walking about 6 miles daily. Shots are usually taken from a distance of 450-550 ft (400-500 m). Trophy size, on average, is from 32 to 36 inches. Hunters who can walk longer distances tend to get better trophies. The daytime temperature hovers around 80°F (27°C) in July, and around 35°F (2 °C) in December. Precipitations are rare. The occasional nighttime snowfalls towards the end of the season usually melt in a few hours.
