Fall European Woodcock Hunt in Kaerlia and St. Petersburg

Itinerary

Day 1: arrival to St. Petersburg and transfer to the hunting lodge.
Day 2-6: 5 days of hunting
Day 7: return to St. Petersburg for a flight home.

Details:

St Petersburg region and Karelia offers some of the best fall woodcock hunts in Russia. Hunt takes place during fall migration. With good dogs during the peak season, hunters can expect to have 15-30 flashes per day. For best results, hunters should be prepared to walk up to 15 kilometers over heavily forested terrain each day. Other birds, including black grouse, hazel grouse and snipe can be taken too. Package prices are based on hunters bringing their dogs. Our dogs can be provided for an additional fee.

Spring Okhotsk Far Eastern Brown Bear Hunt

We offer a traditional driven flagged wolf hunt. This requires locating a pack, surrounding it with a rope with a narrow opening where shooters are located, and pushing wolves towards the shooting line.

Eurasian Lynx Hunt

Lynx is almost exclusively hunted with dogs. The best time is early in the season when the snow cover is not too deep, and the dogs can move freely, or later in the season when it is deep enough to use snowmobiles.

Himalayan Snowcock & Daurian Partridge

The Himalayan snowcock is a solitary and elusive bird, requiring excellent knowledge of the habitat, patience, and stamina for a successful hunt.

Maral Stag in Altai

This will primarily be a horseback hunt. In December, when snow cover gets deep, hunters may have to use skis.

Kamchatka Snow Sheep Hunt

Two vacancies for the Kamchatka snow sheep hunt on August 14-30, 2025. Sheep have not been hunted in this area for three years. Price reduced to $22,000

Marco Polo Sheep Hunt in Kyrgyzstan

Hunting takes place at altitudes of 3,000 - 4,000 meters (9,500 - 12,500 ft.) and requires good physical endurance. Hunters should expect to spend up to 6-8 hours per day riding horses.

Spring Eurasian Brown Bear

These are some of the best hunts in the European part of Russia. The record bear taken in the Pskov region in 1999 had a skull measured in excess of 27 inches (69 cm).

Koppi River is one of the best fishing rivers in the area. Fishing is essentially non-stop, catch and release.

Rutting Season European Moose Hunt
