Itinerary

Day 1: arrival to Moscow, overnight in Moscow
Day 2: flight to Stavropol, followed by a 140-mile (230 km) drive to the hunting area
Day 3-6: 4 days of hunting
Day 7: return to Stavropol, flight to Moscow, evening flight home

Details:

This hunt takes place near the border of the Republic of Kalmykia, where ducks gather in large flocks, sometimes numbering in the hundreds. The hunt is conducted from trenches over decoys set near known feeding grounds. The weather is usually dry and warm in September. Warmer clothing is needed in October.
