Itinerary
Day 1: arrival to Bishkek, car ride to the base camp, overnight in base camp
Day 2-10: 9 days of hunting
Day 11: rerun to Bishkek
Day 12: flight home
Details: The Himalayan snowcock is a solitary and elusive bird, requiring excellent knowledge of the habitat, patience, and stamina for a successful hunt. We recommend using rifles chambered for small caliber ammo, including 17 Hornet, 17 Rem, 22-250, 220 Swift, 223 Rem, and 22 Hornet, loaded with FMJ bullets. Shooting distance is between 100-200 meters. 22 LR may not work. If time allows, hunters may shoot Daurian partridge, native pheasants, and red-legged partridge at lower elevations. The best time is late October – early November when the show pushes the birds from higher elevations, and the birds form flocks. The base camp is approximately a 5-hour drive from Bishkek at 2000 m (7,000 ft) above sea level. The spike camp is 3-4 hours away from the base camp, at 10,000 ft above sea level. The snowcock hunt is by foot, at about 3-3,500 m (10-11,000 ft).

Along the sea of Okhotsk shore during the spring hunt, it is possible to observe 30-50 bears at once from a single location. The success rate is over 100% because all hunters take 2 and sometimes more bears.

Fall Central Kamchatka Brown Bear Hunt

Fall Amur Brown Bear Hunt

This spot & stock hunt takes place during keta salmon spawning period, where bears congregate in very large numbers. Finding bears at this time of the year is easy and most hunters take their trophy.

Marco Polo Sheep Hunt in Kyrgyzstan

Hunting takes place at altitudes of 3,000 - 4,000 meters (9,500 - 12,500 ft.) and requires good physical endurance. Hunters should expect to spend up to 6-8 hours per day riding horses.

Spring Eurasian Brown Bear

These are some of the best hunts in the European part of Russia. The record bear taken in the Pskov region in 1999 had a skull measured in excess of 27 inches (69 cm).

Winter/Spring Eastern Capercaillie

Black billed or Western capercaillie hunt is done by stalking along the roads during the winter season and on the lek during the spring season.

Maral Stag & Siberian Roe Deer in Kazakhstan

Maral and roe deer hunts can be combined between September 15 and November 30. Trophies are excellent, with stags reaching 17 kg and Siberian roe deer often exceeding 1000 gr.

Siberian Ibex, Altai

This will primarily be a horseback hunt. In December, when snow cover gets deep, hunters may have to use skis.

Okhotsk Snow Sheep Hunt

Hunters can expect to see several rams during the trip. Trophy size ranges from 34 to 41 inches.

Fall European Woodcock Hunt in Kaerlia and St. Petersburg

Hunt takes place during fall migration. With good dogs during the peak season, hunters can expect to have 15-30 flashes per day.

Spring Central Kamchatka Brown Bear Hunt
