Itinerary

Day 1: morning arrival in Mineralnye Vody, 7-hour car transfer to the hunting cabin
Day 2-6: 5 days of hunting

Details:

Hunting occurs at 8000-10000 ft (2500-3000 m) above sea level on the border between the Kuban (western) and mixed tur habitats. The weather can be rainy. Snow is common late in the season. Daytime temperature, depending on the season, is 50-80 F (10 -25 °C), and nighttime is 35-50 F (2-10 C). Hunters should bring a sleeping bag, mountain boots, binoculars, sunglasses, and waterproof warm clothes. Hunters should feel comfortable riding horses used for transportation during the hunt. A top physical condition is not required. Red stag can be added during the rutting season from the end of August until early October, and brown bear can be taken while they feed on fruits in the villages.
